Suitcase / PACKAGING
Packaging, strategy and visual identity
Suitcase was launched in October 2013 by Anthony De Wit & Jonathan Wanten. The first to introduce the concept of curated shopping in Belgium. At the source a strong belief that men were waiting for a personal service in shopping, without the hassle of overloaded shopping streets and cloakrooms. We were asked to create a brand new packaging concept that reflects the values of both the company and its customers.
Our challenge.
We challenged ourselves and the company to develop a box that acts as a brand ambassador and sends out the right message. Our goal was to create a more engaging product experience that fills the gap between company and customer.
Our approach.
We defined and analysed the company's current customers, future customers, stakeholders and values. Based on new insights we have set new goals for the company. This resulting in a more efficient box size strategy, new visuals and future campaign ideas.
Results.
This development resulted in a new collaboration with VPK packaging, a new box size and a new manufacturing approach. We've also managed to push the boundaries of digital printing according to the pricing and order quantity. We have created a set of engaging vector illustrations and visuals that were used for more than this new box design only!
Suitcase acquired by FNG!
Suitcase's online business model based on a high level of convenience for the customer, while gathering extremely useful profiling data became even more solid the next 2 years. Eventually Suitcase was sold and acquired by FNG group in april 2017. The company will continue to put its focus on their omni-channel approach via its curated shopping platform.
