A ceiling cooker hood with integrated led lining
Prodotto has supported Novy to expand its popular Pureline ceiling hood collection by developing a Pureline Pro range.
Challenge
Novy's marketing department wanted to have a led line solution for Novy's popular Pureline collection for over 5 years. Many prototypes have been built in the past but none of them past the jury. It needed to be a 10mm rectangular led lining with a seamless diffuser design. Another approach was necessary in order to achieve their goal.
Approach
We analysed previously made prototypes together with Novy in order to find new insights and real bottlenecks. We discovered that cost, heat and linear thermal expansion were the main reasons that most of the older ideas resulted in bulky solutions that didn't meet the design values of the company.
Result
We managed to translate technical and manufacturing limitations into new clever design opportunities that will make Novy stand out. The result is a stylish full perimeter LED solution for warm yet sleek illumination in your kitchen.
